I acquired this eight from Mizo in 2007. Hinoyuki Yoneshima-san sent me their web site URL in March 2003, but we did not share a common language. In early 2007 I started working (by phone) with Yuji Kumagai-san, and he kindly acted as translator and as my procurement agent.
The Mizo Jet Man Big is forged from 7075-T5 aluminum alloy. Mine is 122 mm. tall, 116 mm. wide, and 13 mm. thick. The rope hole is 45 mm. high and 45 mm. wide. The top center thickness is 13 mm. The shaft length and width are 42 mm. and 39 mm., respectively. The auxiliary hole is 19.8 mm. high and 19.8 mm. wide. The eye measures 16 mm. by 16 mm. The ears are 26 and 32.2 mm. long. My Mizo Jet Man Big weighs 145 g.
The front has "MIZO" in raised letters and the rear is stamped with "JET MAN."
The Mizo Jet Man Big is an unusual T–side eight. This eight has prominent T-shaped ears on each side, similar to the ears on the SBCI Sidewinder or on some of the Russian figure eights with ears, only the Jet Man ears are much larger and there are two of them. Although they makes tying off easier, they get in the way for everything else. I don't like large ears on eights, and this takes the idea to an extreme. Hugh Banner has a similar eight.
The eye is too narrow to accept two full size locking carabiners.

The Mizo Jet Man Sus is forged from stainless steel. Mine is 136 mm. tall, 121 mm. wide, and 14 mm. thick. The rope hole is 44 mm. high and 48 mm. wide. The top center thickness is 13 mm. The shaft length and width are 43 mm. and 26 mm., respectively. The eye measures 24 mm. by 24 mm. The ears are 31.6 and 31.3 mm. long. My Mizo Jet Man Sus weighs 467 g.
One side of the Jet Man Sus has "MIZO" in bas relief forged letters, the other has "JET MAN," also in bas relief forged letters.
The Mizo Jet Man Small is another unusual T–side eight. The Jet Man Small is heavier than the Jet Man Big, which is not an advantage. Although well-made, I can't see actually carrying one of these for recreational use.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
