Anchor Brakes

Anchor brakes are used as shock absorbers in rigging, although I've seldom seen them used in ordinary situations. They can also be used to rig dynamic cow’s tails.

The MSR Auto Belayer was marketed as an autobelayer, not an anchor brake, but the device and application is so similar to other dissipators that I included it here.
