Raúl Macia Sanchez sent me this eight new in 2022.
The Fixe Classic is forged from aluminum alloy and then soft anodized. Mine is 115855 mm. tall, 76 mm. wide, and 16 mm thick. The rope hole is 52 mm. high and 52 mm. wide. The top center thickness is 13 mm. The shaft length and width are 46 mm. and 24 mm., respectively. The eye measures 35 mm. by 35 mm. My eight weighs 143 g.
Faders made this eight for FIXE to sell under their brand. The front of the shaft is stamped "FADERS," and the rear is stamped "<-> 4000KG." The rear is printed with "FIXE," "A0821" (giving the manufacture date), and "MADE IN EU."
This eight is identical to the Faders Classic.
The Classic is a large, forged, aluminum figure eight, but it is no heavier than typical full-sized eights. The extra-large eye allows the eight to be reversed to generate more friction. This is useful when using thinner ropes. The Calma Antibloc is an eared eight with the same feature.
The markings on Versions and B differ, and Version B uses an italic ("leaning") font face for "FADERS."

I acquired this eight from Barrabés.com in Spain in 2003.
The Fixe Suprem is forged from aluminum alloy and then hard anodized. Mine is 124 mm. tall, 77 mm. wide, and 12 mm. thick. The rope hole is 38 mm. high and 54 mm. wide. The top center thickness is 10 mm. The shaft length and width are 37 mm. and 25 mm., respectively. The eye measures 25 mm. by 29 mm. My eight weighs 96 g.
This Fixe Suprem is stamped with a salamander logo on the front, and "22 kN" on the back.
The Fixe Suprem is one of a few eights that have inner projections in the main rope hole, apparently to guide the rope. In the Fixe, the center projection is a small "bump" that does not appear to serve any useful purpose.
The Fixe Suprem works well enough on flexible climbing rope, but may provide too much friction on stiff or muddy ropes. The eye is not designed for belaying.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
