I acquired this Safewaze Easy Move from Olivia Brooke and Company in 2023.
My Safewaze Easy Move is 69 mm. long, 81 mm. wide, 24 mm. high, and weighs 200 g. It consists of 2.9 mm. aluminum front and back plates and several internal parts. There is a forged steel rocker lever on the left. This lever pivots on an 8 mm. post riveted to the rear plate, and the front plate pivots on the post, swinging counter-clockwise to open.In the closed position, a notch on the right side of the front plate engages the end of the pin supporting the anvil. A pin limits the motion of the rocker lever. Opposite the lower end of the lever is a fixed forged steel anvil, held in place by another pair of pins.
There is another pin on the rear plate that supports another lever. One end of this lever rides against the rope, while the other has a hook extending into the rear plate attachment eye. A spring acts to rotate the second lever clockwise, pressing the left end against the rope. A plastic knob in a housing attached to the lever allows blocking the lever movement. A post above the lever supports a friction-educing roller.
The front is printed with "EASY MOVE," an up-pointing arrow, a rigging illustration, "310 lb", the Safewaze lighthouse logo, "SAFEWAZE™", a curved down-and-left-pointing arrow labeled "GO," a curved up-pointing arrow labeled "RESSET," and the CLimbing Technology CT logo. The rear is printed with "ANSI z359.15-2014," "OSHA 1926 Subpart M," "OSHA 1910," "Use only according to manufacturer's instructions," a book-with-an-"i" icon, "310 lb capacity," "Use only with SAFEWAZE 11 mm Kernmantle Rope," "Only manufacturer approved lanyards may be used with this product," "SW-EX8000," "0221," "Made in Italy," and "0207-160-21. The inside of the rear shell is stamped with an anchor icon and a filled up-pointing arrow.
Climbing Technology makes the Safewaze Easy Move for American markets. This version is labeled with U. S. rather than European standards, as the latter are as irrelevant here as the former are there. For the user who is more concerned about field performance than courtroom performance, they are equivalent.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
