Technical Details

I acquired this Balance Community Linegrip G5 from Ryan Dumka in 2022.

My Balance Community Linegrip G5 is 48 mm. long, 162 mm. wide, 86 mm. high, and weighs 422 g.

The Linegrip G5 consistes of an aluminum body, four aluminum hooks, and two rubber-lined aluminum plates. The aluminum is 7075, and the pins 303 stainless steel. The lower pad has two spring-loaded plastic ball latches on the end nearest the eye.

The top of the body is laaserr-engraved with "G504-12160." The bottom of the lower shoe is printed with a plethora of white ink. I won't transcribe it here; instead, I'll just provide an image.

Warning:
The linegrip G5 is a rigging aid only.
It is not rated for supporting human loads.

Comments

The LineGrip G5 is a webbing grip for attaching a tensioning system to a 25 mm. webbing slackline. It is intended to be used in conjunction with one of their Weblocks. It functions much like the Crescent Tool Cable Puller in that it clamps the slackline webbing between two shoes.

Unfortunately, Balance Community does not provide online instructions or an online manual for the Linegrip G5, relying solely on a YouTube video. Apparently they believe that slackliners cannot read. Despite the lack of an online manual, the instructioins on the bottom plate tell the user to "consult the manual for safe load." I give their manual approach a Lemon Award:
