Rick Banning gave me this one in 1992.
My Crescent Tool Cable Puller is 94 mm. long, 172 mm. wide, 36 mm. high, and weighs 776 g. It is made from steel forgings.
The front side of the arm has "383 CRESCENT TOOL CO. JAMESTOWN N.Y." in raised letters. The rear side of the arm has "MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "PAT. NO 1942625." The rear of the body has the following, also in raised letters:
383

2200 KGS
5000 LBS SAFE LOAD
Bob Thrun mentioned cable pullers in the mechanical ascender chapter of Prusiking, wondering if someone might make a lightweight version for caving use. This is the same model tool as I used to use for stretching fence on the farm. It grips well on wire, but is too heavy for caving.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
