I acquired this Kraken from eBay seller spolivm (Kirill) in 2024.

My Kraken is 110 mm. long, 136 mm. wide, 136 mm. high, and weighs 213 g.

This grappling hook is made from three pieces of 4 mm steel. Two of these are 110 mm. long with a single claw to one side, making them 75 mm. wide. Wach od these has a 12.1 mm carabiner hole at its base. Theseholes aligh when the grappling hook is assembled. The third is 65 mm. tall and 136 mm. wide. A slot and a notch in this piece allows inserting the other two to make a four-claw hook.

There are no markings on this grappling hook.

The Kraken is similar in concept to the Jusik, but is made out of thicker steel. This adds strength and weight. I find that the extra weight makes the Kraken easier to throw than the Jusik.

The arms on the Kraken are wider and do not slope down as sharply as those on the Jusik. Which arem design is better depends on what you are trying to hook.

The Kraken quickly dissassembles into three pieces that lie flat for carrying, Reassembling the Kraken for use is equally easy - the pieces fit nicely without binding or excessive slop.

This is a nicely made grappling hook. I like it.
