I acquired my Goldlock when Al Fincham visited the U. K. in 1981 and agreed to pick up several items for my collection.
My Goldlock rack is 299 mm. tall, 70 mm. wide, 36 mm. thick, and weighs 672 g. The frame is made from 9.5 mm. stainless steel bent into shape, with an internal width of 36 mm. and a 26 mm. diameter wrapped eye. The eye is painted. There are six anodized aluminum alloy brake bars. The bars are 19 mm. in diameter and 70 mm. long. Allowing 45 mm. for the rope gives a 61 mm. for spreading the bars.
There are no markings on this rack.
Although this rack has six bars on it, it is really only long enough for five, and even then, it functions more like a constant friction rappel device.
The eye is angled slightly, but not enough to have any practical effect.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
