I acquired my Protecta International AC202/01 Cobra from GyC Seguridad S.L. in 2000.
My Protecta International AC202/01 Cobra is 120 mm. long, 106 mm. wide, 62 mm. high, and weighs 805 g.
The Cobra consists of a hinged shell formed from 2.5 mm. stampings and a cam assembly. A spring-loaded pin and a spring-loaded button catch hold the unit closed. The cam is made of 4 pieces of sheet steel riveted together. The side plates have asymmetric notches cut in them, providing the unusual tooth pattern. A small roller sits above the cam.
The front is stamped with a up-pointing arrow labeled with "UP," "HAUT," "AUF,"and "ALTO," "Ø12-16mm," ’1/2"-5/8"Dia," "PROTECTA INTERNATIONAL," "COBRA," "CE 0086," and "EN 353-2." The rear is stamped with "SERIAL Nb," "No SERIE," "95274," "Mfg date," "Date fab.," "99," and "MADE IN FRANCE.
The AC202/01 Cobra is a French rope grab. It operates on the same principle as a Type 1 Lever Cam Ascender.

I acquired my Protecta International AC350 Cabloc from GyC Seguridad S.L. in 2000.
My Protecta International AC350 Cabloc is 97 mm. long, 100 mm. wide, 20 mm. high, and weighs 488 g.
The Cabloc consists of two connected cams mounted in a plated steel shell. The unique shell grooves allow the unit to be attached to a cable without opening or disassembling the unit.
The front is stamped with a up-pointing arrow labeled with "UP," "HAUT," "AUF,"and "ALTO," "A UTILISER AVEC LE MOSQUETON FORNI," "SUR DU CABLE ACIER Ø 8mm," "CABLOC," "REF AC350," "max.136kg," "59167," "99," and "CE0086." The rear is stamped "WARNING TO BE USE WITH THE ORIGINAL KARABINER ONLY," "TO BE USE WITH WIRE ROPE 8mm DIA ONLY," "MAX 300Lbs," and "PROTECT INTERNATIONAL."
The AC350 Cabloc is designed to be used on 8 mm. wire cable. The Vertical (Вертикаль) ver 0113 is a direct copy, and the Krok Cable Lock and Krok Rope Lock Lite are close copies.
