Technical DetailsI acquired my R2D2 D8 Autoblocker from Krok in 2021.
My R2D2 D8 Autoblocker is 51 mm. long, 110 mm. wide, 19 mm. high, and weighs 107 g.
The R2D2 D8 consists of two 3.9 mm. aluminum alloy plates separated by five 9.6 mm.-long spacers. Each plate has a 30 mm. tall, 21 mm. wide tapered attachment hole. The top and right-hand spacers are 13.7 mm. in diameter with a shallow U-shaped groove that gives an 11.1 mm. central diameter. The left-hand pacer is a 7.7 mm. cylinder, and the two bottom spacers are 9.8 mm. hexagonal bars.
The front is printed with a rigging illustration and five circles. The rear is printed with five circles, a rigging illustration, "Автоблокант R2D2 ø8," the Krok logo, "Max 300 кг," "WLL 12 kN," "MBS 16 kN," "1812.030 4," and a book-with-an-"i" icon.
The R2D2 D8 Autoblocker is a handled version of the R2D2, scaled down for 8 mm. line. It is specifically designed to be used as part of a hoisting system, where it can serve to easily and conveniently hold or release tension as desired.
