This was in my shop and I wasn't using it there, so in 2020 I decided to add a page for it here. I don't know for sure where I got it, but it was probably my father’s and perhaps my grandfather’s.
My Klein Cable Puller is 92 mm. long, 213 mm. wide, 39 mm. high, and weighs 1121 g.
The Klein Cable Puller is made from steel castings. The basic design is similar to the Klein Chicago® Grip, but the cast construction and different company name suggests that it is a much older piece. The cam face has four rows of 25-30 fine teeth, separated by narrow and shallow grooves.
The front side of the arm has "M. KLEIN & SONS" and " CHICAGO USA" in raised letters. The rear side of the body has "1604-20."
Bob Thrun mentioned cable pullers in the mechanical ascender chapter of Prusiking, wondering if someone might make a lightweight version for caving use. Cable pullers have been around for a very long time, but like this one, are too heavy for caving use. With no safety, this one should not be trusted with one’s life.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
