I acquired my ISC / Singing Tree Rigging Rope Wrench from TreeStuff.com in 2019.
My ISC / Singing Tree Rigging Rope Wrench is 52 mm. long, 273 mm. wide, 45 mm. high, and weighs 458 g.
The Rope Wrench consists of a pulley, connecting arm, and the rope wrench proper. The pulley plates are 121 mm.tall, 52 mm. wide, 3.9 mm. thick, and separated by 19.8 mm. They are held by two shoulder rivets, and do not rotate with respect to each other. A 14.8 mm. diameter spring-loaded pin at the top serves as the attachment point. It can be depressed and rotated 180° to open for admitting the rope and for attaching to a closed anchor.
The connecting rod is forged from aluminum alloy and hard anodized. It is 73 mm. between the rivets connecting to the pulley and wrench. A pin pressed through a nose on the upper end of the rod aligns with a notch in the pulley. This allows the arm to pivot to one side of the pulley, but not the other. This is important during raising operations.
The wrench proper consists of two 4 mm. aluminum plates riveted together. One rivet attaches the wrench to the connecting arm, allowing rotation, while the other passes through a 19 mm. bollard that serves as one of two rope guides. The bollard has a turned 11 mm. wide, 3 mm. deep rope grove. An 11 mm. lock pin serves as the other rope guide. It can be removed to admit the rope by pushing a small spring-loaded catch.
The front pulley plate is printed with "70," a curved arrow pointing counter-clockwise to a hand icon, a strength illustration labeled "MBS 30kN" above and "15kN" on each of the two lower sides, "I|S|C," and "19114360134." The connecting arm has "I|S|C" forged in raised letters on each side. The front of the wrench is printed with the Singing tree logo, "PATENTED US8851232," "NOT FOR PPE," "CE," "RP290," "Ø1/2"(13mm)," "WLL 0-70Kg," "RIGGING ROPE WRENCH," and a rigging illustration. The rear is printed with "climb. work. rescue."
The rope wrench comes with directions suitable for arborists, not cavers and climbers. Its primary purpose is for lowering tree limbs. Despite the word "rescue" printed on the rear, it should not be used for human loads.
My ISC / Singing Tree Rigging Rope Wrench came in a very nice case that seems rather luxurious for a device intended for the outdoor, sawdust-infested arborist work environment.
There is another model, the RP292, that is rated for 120 kg. It also incorporates a one-way bearing in the pulley to provide additional friction for lowering.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
