I acquired this Protecta Trigger from Miles Bradshaw in 2023.
My Protecta Trigger is 103 mm. long, 79 mm. wide, 31 mm. high, and weighs 233 g.
The Trigger consists of a two-piece forged aluminum housing with an internal forged cam, all held together by two semi-tubular rivets.
One side is faintly etched with "Kernmantle rope Ø 10-12mm," "TRIGGER," "EN358 : 1999," CE0086," "6510," a boook-with-an-"i" icon, and "[illegible]G #: 08–25738." The other side had a forged indentation for a sticker, but the sticker is missing.
There is no manufacturer marking on my Trigger. I tentatively identify this as a Protecta product. Protecta International is Capital Safety’s Fall Protection Division. The Trigger later acquired DBI-SALA markings,. 3M acquired the Capital Safety Group in 2015. The Trigger now sold by 3M is a different device.
