I acquired my Rope Rat from Eddie Hughes in 2015.
The Rope Rat is is a flipline adjuster. It is 114 mm. tall, 73 mm. wide, 24 mm. thick, and weighs 346 g. It consists of a painted aluminum alloy housing holding a cast stainless steel cam. The cam is spring-loaded and rotates on a fixed stainless steel axle. One end of the cam has a thumb tab that protrudes outside the housing. A 9.8 mm. stainless steel pin provides an attachment point.
Both sides have "ROPE RAT" in raised letters. The tab is engraved with "FAM" in dot matrix characters.
The Rope Rat is heavy, and the free end of the rope must be available for rigging.
