I acquired this Liberty Mountain cable ladder from On Rope 1 at the 2023 NSS Convention.
This ladder is 10 m. long with 32 aluminum rungs spaced 298 mm. apart. Each rung is 146 mm. long and 15.3 mm. in diameter with a 2.1 mm. wall thickness. The cable is 3.2 mm. stainless steel. The rungs are secured by crimping the rungs along with an internal plug. The eyes are double crimped with eye protectors and maillon rapide links.
There are no markings on this ladder.
A glance at the photo immediately shows what I dislike most about this ladder: the distance from the top rung to the connectors is too long. Imagine connecting two of these ladders together for a deeper pit. Passing from one ladder to the next is a large step, even for someone of my height (6' 4" or 1.93m). Most ladders place the connectors so that the rung spacing between two connected ladders matches the ladder rung spacing. Fotunately, the ends are so long that a peraon with a crimping tool can cut the ends and crimp new eyes in the proper position. I'd suggest adding Brummel hooks at the same time.
