Technical Details

I made this cable ladder in 1975.

This ladder is 15.5 m. long with 51 aluminum rungs spaced 305 mm. apart. Each rung is 165 mm. long and 12.6 mm. in diameter with a 1.6 mm. wall thickness. The cable is 3.3 mm. stainless steel. The rungs are secured by top & bottom crimps. The eyes are double crimped with eye protectors.

Comments

I used this ladder extensively and it is still in excellent condition. One mistake was making it with 51 rungs instead of an even number, since it leaves the free end flopping when I use a 2-rung fold for storage. One of the rungs is about 25 mm. out of position, making this a rather interesting ladder to use when racing.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
