I acquired this New Alp plate from Denis Pivot in 2022.
The New Alp is forged from aluminum allow and then soft anodized. Mine is 85 mm. long, 45 mm. wide, 9 mm. thick, and weighs 44 g. It has two slots that are 50 mm. long. The eye is 14.3 mm. in diameter.
One side of the plate is stamped with "NEW ALP."
This New Alp plate is intended for climbing guides, who will find that it works well in certain situations such as belaying two clients. The two long slots give less friction than standard "Sticht" plates do.
