I acquired one Forrest from Stéphane Pennequin in 2012, and a second from Marty Karabin in 2021.
The Forrest is a sticht-type belay plate. Mine is 38 mm. long, 67 mm. wide, 6 mm. high, and weighs 30 g. It is milled from aluminum plate and has a single belay slot that is 33 mm. long.
One side is stamped with the Forrest Mountaineering logo.
The Forrest plate is stamped out of 1/4-inch (6.4 mm.) aluminum. It has very little rope contact area, which is a bit harder on the rope than a thicker device would be.
The Forrest Belay Plate appeared in the 1983 Forrest Catalog.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
