I acquired my Hugh Banner (HB), Version A from Ragged Mountain Equipment in 1994.
Version A is forged from aluminum alloy. It is 44 mm. long, 46 mm. wide, 13 mm. high, and weighs 32 g. It has two slots that are 28 mm. long.
One side has HB WALES" in raised letters ("HB" is a ligature).
Version A is a basic two-slot forged aluminum slotted belay plate.

I acquired my Hugh Banner (HB), Version B from Inner Mountain Outfitters in 1994.
Version B is 44 mm. long, 46 mm. wide, 13 mm. high, and weighs 35 g. It has two slots that are 29 mm. long. The cable is 1.3 mm. stainless steel covered with heat shrink.
One side has HB WALES" in raised letters ("HB" is a ligature).
Version B uses the same plate forging as Version A, but adds a cable keeper.

I acquired my Hugh Banner (HB), Version C from Inner Mountain Outfitters in 1993.
Version C is 44 mm. long, 46 mm. wide, 62 mm. high, and weighs 44 g. It has two slots that are 28 mm. long. The keeper rod diameter is 6.3 mm.
The top has HB WALES" in raised letters ("HB" is a ligature).
Version C uses the same plate forging as Version A, but adds a solid aluminum rod keeper.
For far more content, use a larger monitor and a full-width window.
