I acquired my Edelrid Frog from Eiselin Sport in 1982.
The Edelrid Frog is forged from aluminum alloy and unfinished. It is basically a 10.5 mm. rod bent into the shape of an "Ω" with a flattened convex side and enlarged ends. Each end has an 18 mm. diameter carabiner hole. Mine Frog is 80 mm. long, 80 mm. wide, 11 mm. high, and weighs 63 g.
One side has "Frog" and "Edelrid" in raised letters.
One (poor) way to rig the Edelrid Frog is to wrap rope several turns around the rod, then clip each end of the frog to appropriate anchors. The correct number of wraps is important, and depends too much on conditions for my taste. I also dislike the sharp bend placed in the rope, especially over such a large angle (several turns).
A better way is to replace the wraps with a Munter Hitch.

Hundreds of cell phone users complained and asked me to for a simpler, mobile friendly site. In particular, they wanted me to limit each page to a small number of pictures and minimize my use of text. This new site provides what they asked for.
